Sterling has designs on The University of Northampton

October 2005

Kettering-based print and design specialist Sterling has become the first major sponsorship partner of The University of Northampton, following the institution’s recent achievement of full university status and the gaining of Research Degree Awarding Powers.

A key supplier to the University, Sterling has just moved from Wellingborough to brand new premises at Kettering Parkway to cope with a rapid expansion in business.

In the run up to the University’s change of title Sterling has worked closely with the institution on a full range of publications and promotional material, including a striking new prospectus and the production of a series of new exhibition stands highlighting key future developments.

Sterling has also supported the University’s Corporate Communications Department in the design and print of over 10,000 commemorative brochures, a History of the University leaflet, an Estates Strategy 2005-2015 brochure, and a ‘Year of University’ Sponsorship brochure, packed full of useful information for businesses wanting to take advantage of a range of exciting partnership opportunities.

In addition to Sterling, other supporters of the University who have already signed up to sponsor key initiatives with Northamptonshire’s only dedicated supplier of Higher Education include GSS Architects, Northamptonshire Partnership and caterers AQCMS.

Kathryn Jones, Director of Corporate Communications at The University of Northampton, said: “Our Year of University celebrations in 2005 and 2006 represent a unique opportunity for businesses throughout Northamptonshire and beyond to be part of one of the most significant and exciting changes to happen in our region.

“By supporting the work and initiatives of your new University, you can be certain of playing a major role in helping us achieve our goals for the future and developing a mutually rewarding and lasting relationship with all Friends of the University.”

Chris Timm, Sterling’s Marketing Director, added: “We are proud to be associated with The University of Northampton in this year of celebration. We look forward to continuing our partnership of developing innovative and progressive marketing and recruitment campaigns.”
