RICS Design Retainer

February 2007

Following its move to brand new premises in Kettering in October 2005, Sterling’s creative credentials continue to grow at a rapid rate following new business successes and a number of recent design and managerial appointments.

Most significant is confirmation from RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) that Sterling has won a 2 year (minimum) contract to handle all creative work previously undertaken by its 6 strong internal design studio.

Chris Timm, Sterling’s Marketing Director comments, ‘we’ve been working closely with RICS for over 3 years on a wide range of creative, new media and print projects. We’re obviously delighted to have been awarded such a substantial retainer which reflects the quality of work we’ve done to date, our understanding of their business and the scale of our creative resource to be able to accommodate this volume of activity.’

‘We’re very excited about the future, both in London and Kettering. Increasingly as companies look to outsource non core activity (such as creative and print services), our strategy of providing a genuine, integrated single supplier solution is paying dividends.’

Additional, recent new business successes include a range of projects for Warwickshire College and Tresham College, boosting Sterling’s portfolio of education clients still further.

4 new designers have been recruited during the past two months across both of Sterling’s design studios, bringing the number of full time creative staff to12, supported by new media programmers and Sterling’s comprehensive in-house pre press, print and fulfilment service.

James Fear has returned to Sterling as Business Development Director, with a primary focus on developing design led opportunities both locally and further a field. James’ contacts and experience will enhance the range of creative services and tailor made solutions that Sterling can offer small and large businesses across a range of media.
