Laravel / Full Stack Developer

Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:45 – 17:30

Based at: Remote, with occasional site visits (typically once a month)

Job Overview

We are looking to expand our highly skilled development team by adding a Full Stack Laravel Developer, preferably with experience using the TALL stack.

The successful candidate will report directly to our Lead Developer who heads up our experienced development team. You will be required to work alongside our close-knit development team on both new and existing projects and possess experience of working in a development environment, working both independently and in tandem with our other developers.

This is a 24/7 fast paced environment where flexibility and adaptability are essential. You will be working within a very small team at the infancy of what we believe will be a very successful business.

What You’ll Do

  • Build modern PHP web applications
  • Build REST APIs
  • Maintain and enhance our existing codebases
  • Document troubleshooting and problem resolution steps for internal use and to extend our knowledge base

Essential Skills

  • Strong PHP and Laravel experience (3 – 5 years professional experience)
  • Good knowledge of MySQL/Postgres
  • Experience working with JavaScript libraries
  • Knowledge of best testing practises
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Strong verbal and communication skills (completely fluent in both written and oral English)

Desirable Skills

  • Previous experience, or an eagerness to work with the TALL stack
  • Exposure or knowledge of Ionic

Additional Info

  • You will need to be able to follow modern development standards and best practices
  • A Computer Science related degree would be useful but is not essential
  • The successful candidate must have a full right to work in the UK
